This is such a good book for all teenagers and adults to read. It gives the perspective of Gio, a bi Black boy living in Indiana, and his journey through forgiveness and finding himself. I loved that this book incorporated many themes within the pages. The racism Gio and his friends encounter and the pressures from family and teachers to act and be a certain way are key themes that follow Gio throughout the book. Family are the ones you choose, not necessarily the ones assigned to you. This was a well written, great YA novel.
