This is the second full length fantasy romance novel in the Aspect and Anchor series by Ruby Dixon. It is adult themed with plenty of cussing, action/violence, and steamy scenes. There is no cheating, no cliffhangers and always an HEA. This can be read as a stand alone title but please don’t you will miss out on some important inside knowledge that makes the story richer and more complex. Which is pretty true for all of Ms. Dixon’s series. I am a huge Ruby Dixon fan and have loved just about everything she has written. This book did not disappoint and its long so you have many days to enjoy. Plus I love the way this one starts out because you know what Rhagos wants and then you get all little hints and clues he gives to Max. I was NOT paid for this honest review.Rhagos is the god of death and he is very lonely and unhappy. He is envious of Aron of the Clever because he has found love and companionship. Rhagos sets out to change his circumstances hoping to be pleased with his choice. The anticipation is a chance for a god to spend time in the mortal realm and learn a lesson or two, but the gods need a mortal anchor bound to them and responsible for all their needs.
