Rust or Ride is book 22 in the Lost Kings MC Series. I feel like I say this every time, but this book has been long awaited! We’ve had glimpses of Dex from the very beginning and little nuggets dropped along the way. We knew he had a tragic past, but we really didn’t know how deep it cut.Seeing Dex finally open himself up after connecting with Emily and having Emily open up to Dex in return has been bitter sweet. They balance each other out well. Dex is so serious and stoic, where Emily is funny and kind of a goof. They both have a lot in common with having past demons/trauma, misplaced guilt, grief, and being super hard on themselves.Their journey is a slow burn and their story reminds me a lot of Rock and Hope. They are completely different plots, issues, situations, and outcomes, but there are some small detailed similarities that I can see.We also get to catch up with some awesome characters we haven’t seen in awhile, and there may or may not be a ghost of LOKI past coming back to haunt them lol. I always look forward to the LOKI banter and Autumn did not disappoint with all the laugh out loud moments.
