Brief Summary Catching the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox

The beginning of this story was almost rocky for me. Main characters Rowan and Diesel circle each other like two middle schoolers at the first dance of the year. She can’t stand the sight of him because he’s always acting like the kid on the playground that pulled the girls’ ponytails. He basically is that kid, because he’ll take any kind of attention from her, even if it’s bad. But since this is a Kennedy Fox book, the banter is awesome.While I wondered if I was even going to like this book, Diesel managed to sweet talk not only Rowan, but me as well. That man is nothing if not determined, and I’ll admit it was fun to watch him change Rowan from a bantering shrew to a babbling school girl. He could be the poster boy for persistence.While I had a little trouble with the flow of this story (ex: there’s no sex at all, then there’s nothing but sex for several chapters), overall there’s a lot to like here. Second chance romances can be very heartwarming, and this one really steals the show in that department. Rowan and Diesel both (eventually) demonstrate growth and maturity, which was great to see. Basically, the romance sizzles, the humor rocks, and the emotions steamroll as this great romance unfolds.
