I just found Natalie Dean as an author thru a recommendation by Amazon and I love her books. I like to read authors books when the series are complete or almost complete. Otherwise I’m afraid I’ll forget what the books were about when a new one comes out or miss the next books completely. I must’ve been a cowgirl in a previous life because I’m crazy s type of books and a sucker for romance.

Brief Summary of the Book

Eloise is one of the last Callahans to be single. She begins to work at Shane’s restaurant. This puts her in contact with Shane. Shane’s restaurant is short staffed since one of the waitresses went into labor unexpectedly. Eloise cooks at her home and likes to cook. Eloise and Shane are making progress with a friendship. Then Shane’s icky family members arrive. The icky family members had a devious plan to take Shane down. This is different from the others in this series with lots of twists and turns. Brielle has dated every man around and two she got closest to have chosen her sisters. Shane the rich man who owns the country club is one of her castoffs. Eloise is helping in the country clubs restaurant because a kitchen helper went into labor. It gets convoluted from here, including two cousins looking for trouble who aren’t above a little blackmail, a fake relationship that that heats up fast and more untold secrets than is healthy. I know Shane thought he was keeping secrets for very good reasons, but it plays havoc on a lasting relationship and I’m glad they came out in the open.
