Ivy has love Kane for years but with their age difference and the fact he is her sister’s best friend, well, she doesn’t have much hope he will ever see her as more than a kid. Kane is ready to find the love of his life and settle down but hasn’t had much luck. When his current girlfriend suggests and “open” relationship, well, that tells him it’s the end for them. When Ivy shows up on his doorstep because her car won’t start, he finds himself struggling to keep his hands to himself. I love that Ivy is a total book nerd and has learned so much from all the romance novels she devours. This provides a great connection as Kane wants to know more about the books she reads and she wants to try some of things she read with him. We also get to experience Kane’s romantic side which melted my heart as he woos Ivy. Add in the supporting cast that is the Bishop clan and all their significant other’s and children and well, you have a fabulous romance to escape into.
