Its purpose is to also inform one on the history of misogyny and to let readers know about the demonization of female sexuality and women that has continued.“Sex Magic & The Tools Of Pleasure”(pg 87) is well organized, it begins off with stating how a woman’s self pleasure was absolutely seen as bad, Sollee even states , “ Was the witch’s broom a dust buster, transportation device, or dildo?.” I personally liked how she used a witch-identified woman who experimented on the “flying ointment” as an example because by having the personal experience and reading it from another’s perspective really ended the chapter well and showed that everything Sollee said in the chapter is powerful and the personal experience from the witch-identified woman gave so much empowerment on what the whole chapter was about. The main point in this chapter was that self pleasure and sex tools are not inappropriate but in fact it is actually good for ones soul and self esteem.
