The story is great. The dialogue, the characters, the action… the Brody, all great. Where this book falters is in description.A rule in movies is “Show, don’t tell.” Well, this is a book. There can only be “tell.” There are a few places where a little more description from the authors is needed.For instance, the passage of time is often summed up well after an event leaving the jump from one scene to another feeling instantaneous, despite hours, if not days, passing. That’s not always bad, as it keeps up a fast pace, but that sometimes leads to confusion. Moments that are supposed to be “slow”, between characters, introspective moments, etc, get pulled into that frenetic pace to their detriment.Transitions between characters (and there are a lot of characters) can be a little messy on occasion, but it’s not too bad.
