This book was written decades before Trump ever thought of running for president. I found the account of his father’s business start up and the lessons he learned from it interesting. I am familiar with the area in Cincinnati where DJT’s apartment complex there is located and he was shrewd to get out of that area when he did. It is instructive also to read what a mess NYC made of the Wollman Rink rebuild and how Trump was willing to put his name and reputation on the line to get the job done right, on time and under budget which he did. His account of the difficulties that apartment building owners in NYC encounter due to rent control is a textbook case of the negative consequences of governments meddling in private economic transactions and how those efforts usually benefit the well to do and connected at the expense of the people the policies are supposedly designed to help.
