Do yourself a favor and do not read this as a standalone, the pining in book #2 totally sets the mood for this romance and should not be missed.Julian and Genevieve are the epitome of friends to love. They grow up as best friends, but as they grow, so do their feelings. And then Julian has to go find his own way in the world and they are relegated to writing to stay in touch. That doesn’t go as planned, but I loved the letters and seeing how Genevieve continued to rely on her communication with Julian to work out her feelings.The second chance portion of their reunion might take a little while, but the groveling was first rate. And Hatcher does not let us down with the steam of their relationship.
