When Lainey arrives in Hawaii for her best friend’s wedding she’s unexpectedly paired with Theo, her best brother’s brother, the bane of her existence and the guy she crushed on when she was younger. Theo and the groom don’t get along and Lainey’s tasked in keeping them away from each other. But, like in any Pippa Grant book, shenanigans occur, hilarious shenanigans that make you love the characters even more. Theo’s fun-loving nature, helps Lainey in her quest to come out of her shell more and as they get to know each other, really know each other, they start to realize that they other isn’t what they expected. I loved this book and hope that their are more planned in this world. Things I liked about this book were how easily it was for the author to switch from funny to emotional within a few pages. The writing was natural, and the characters flawed. Neither Laney or Theo knew how to act on their feelings for the other, so at times it was hilariously awkward. I also felt some of the gender aspects were switched compared to other authors, where the MC Theo was dealing with issues that we typically find with our FMCs.

Brief Summary of the Book

Theo and Laney’s story is a never ending laugh-fest of epic proportions! Theo is the town mess up, but secretly has turned his life around and is really the good guy, yet he still acts like the mess up. He will tug on your heart strings immediately and have you rooting for him to get the girl. Laney is the daughter of the Town rich people, and has always acted in a manor as not to soil her parents reputation, until the destination wedding of her best friend makes her realize she’s not really living! The Antics these two get up to are one of a kind. And the moment they both let their guards all the way down will have your kindle burning! I loved this book from start to finish!
