The Storm Sister written by Lucinda Riley which was published in March 21, 2017. You can read this before The Storm Sister PDF EPUB full Download at the bottom. This is the second in a series about glamorous adopted sisters brought up in a castle on Lake Geneva. Their mysterious benefactor, Pa Salt, has died unexpectedly (or has he?) and left them clues about their origins… A great page-turner, full of drama and romance. I love the idea of the series and I want to continue but the writing slows the story down. There really is no need for each of these books to be near 500 pages. This book focuses on Alcyone or Ally the second sister. I did find her story a bit more interesting than her sister’s in book one. Sometimes details are included that are irrelevant and do not add anything to character development and do not move the plot along. Ally’s origination story was interesting and did develop well once you got to that part about 60 to 70% in. Just as in the first book, some stories are too long and too boring and others that could be exciting are quick and less developed. We spend more time hearing about Anna singing to the cows and cooking badly than we spend on Ally’s mysterious birth mother. Why? I am torn whether to keep going in the series or let it go. I want to know more but can I suffer through. This is not a quick read for sure but the end of each book sets you up to want to read the next book in the series!
