I literally gasped when I realized the twist. How clever, how very clever. It’s brilliant. So very effective. This is an excellent, important novel. If you love a plot twist, this one’s for you. I love mystery/crime/twisty novels. This blew my mind! Exciting, suspenseful, thrilling. Even if I thought this might have been a familiar plot when I read the description, it didn’t matter once I started reading. It was so well-written and enthralling that I forgot to try and figure out what was going on and instead just enjoyed being pulled along into the story. The author has done a great job of portraying the effects of Alzheimer’s on both the person with the disease and their loved ones, and it also explores the complexities of family relationships and how these relationships are effected Alzheimer’s. In the beginning, the pacing of the novel to be slowed. The author selects the difficult and subjects matters that everyone can’t understands.
