This series blew me away. It’s overwhelming all the intricately woven story made me feel: frustrated, love, longing, hatred, passion, betrayal, deception, heartache, intrigue, etc. Cecilia and Tobias, the push and pull throughout their relationship, if you could call it that – in the beginning, was so intense. It’s what drove the story for me and captured my heart. I felt, right along with Cecilia, how the horrible deceptions, withheld information, lack of trust came in waves throughout the entire trilogy with respect to Dominic, Sean, and Tobias; each of them separately and together at times. How it brought Cecilia down repeatedly throughout the years brought me to tears and made me want to throw my kindle down and beat the sh*t out of the male characters; in keeping their secrets and holding off a possible future with those they love. Yes, it was necessary, in many respects, to keep Cecilia safe. I loved how the author had Cecilia hold off and make Tobias work hard and grovel for all the pain and suffering she endured. It made the story so much more relatable and realistic because even their off the charts chemistry and pull to each other wouldn’t have been enough to overcome the multitude of issues that they had to face to come back to each other.The story had me in tears many times throughout each book because of how well their struggles were portrayed. I wanted more of Cecilia and Tobias. Their coming together, being ripped apart, battling with each other, their banter, fighting, sexual tension.
