Josiah was a puzzle to me in the previous book, so I was happy to get more on just who he was and what made him, him. I loved it all. The heartbreaking story of his first love Keonna and the tryst with Tyrell. I kept wandering why his ex kept coming up randomly in the story, yet once it was revealed why, my heart shattered. Such a tragedy. It haunted Josiah and in order to escape the pain and torment, he gave it all and more on the football field. His demons were ever present and I hated that for him. He was such a great young man and it was clouded by the trouble he kept getting in. I would say this was a love at first sight story between he and Jade. Who beats someone down just because they’re grabbing at a girl? Josiah, that’s who?. He said he wanted to make her happy, make her feel good and put his head between her legs; what more could a girl want ?. I loved Josiah’s energy when it came to Jade, yet I wish he’d put more ‘stay away’ energy with no-name who thought he was hers. She was a grimy chick and I didn’t like her at all
