Gem used a spell from the book Niko had kept for over 1000 years, and ended up putting Niko and his mage brothers (complete power hungry a*seholes) to sleep. Gem has no idea how to save Niko and she’s only got a limited window to find a reversal spell so Niko can wake up. Gem will use all her powers available to help, as it’s been two weeks already and no chance so Viktor has a tough decision to make and it’s basically putting Niko to sleep, as that’s no way to live. Gem begs Viktor to give her another week to do some research. She found another book similar to the book Niko hid that explains a way to destroy the book. It just happens that Raven gave Gem the tool as a gift, as Raven knows that Gem loves gemstones and the handle was opal. Both Raven and Gem could feel some type of energy coming from the letter opener but had no idea how much it actually has.
