I was not expecting this storyline but wow! I loved the story until the twists started to come into play. Olivia is a grieving mother who is a divorced writer in a slump. Upon arriving in Paris for a much needed vacation she meets a mysterious man who is gorgeous. Their relationship starts out rocky but quickly becomes tumultuous. You never know what will happen next. I liked the storyline throughout her relationship with James, with her ex Chris being a bump in the road. The ending to this story is pleasing until the first real twist hits. Then I became deeply disturbed by the direction the story took. But it ends in a third timeline and story. Very compelling and interesting. This book is for those who like romance novels with not so great outcomes. It is unpredictable and can be challenging to read at time. It also includes “spice” and violence within the body of the story. I recommend this book to those who enjoy unexpected twists within the narrative.
