Welcome back to the world of the Fallen and their kids! This book is again written in dual POV and first person. In book 2 we get to read from Neve and LUCA’S POV and IT. IS. HAWT!! While I enjoyed book 1, after reading this book I loved the plots even more. Luca and Neve are goals honestly!! What made this book better in my opinion was how the discussion of Neve with all three of them went and how Luca was understanding and cautious. At times I found myself wanting to shake Neve since she was being cruel and stubborn about it. I also really loved how Luca became an essential part in book 2. The addition of Neve’s powers growing and how he helps her through the “burn” of the fallen is swoon. This book tackles the RH topics very well and I appreciated how Neve was conflicted this time. I found her love for Declan so pure and honest that it was hard to stay mad at how she upset Luca. I also liked how the guys do everything to help her adjust. Luca is a MMC who is darker and more deviant than the Declan was and his kinks were something you would expect from a fallen male in this world! Luca grows so much in this book and stands up to his father about Neve. I liked how we got background on his past and family since it allowed for better understanding of the way he was. This book is hot with spice and tension. It makes you need Kai’s book now! Luca’s book was so different from Declan’s when we got to spice since it was a little darker with BDSM themes and it was everything. The building bonds between the four of them is something that I cannot wait to see when they go against the secret society trying to kill Neve! Be ready for a HUGE cliffhanger though!
