Sigrun, the main character of Hold My Place, a 32-year-old Goth librarian, does not disappoint. She enrolls in a night cooking class given by Edgar, the chef at a local restaurant. The class is filled with women lusting after the young, handsome, talented, successful chef. Sigrun falls for each other, and he seems to reciprocate her feelings. They take long walks together nightly after class, including on Valentine’s Day when Edgar’s current wife, Octavia surprises him with a Valentine’s surprise during the class.
