I don’t know about another review below…maybe they’re mad for the paragraph not-to-graphic woohoo scene by book four, but honestly, TA White’s books are a pretty clean read– which I like.I haven’t read a vampire book series this good since Rachel Caine’s Morganville Vampire Series. And that says a lot because I read a lot. TA White is excellent on her plotting and pacing. I didn’t see any plot holes and she has a lot of good action– but not too much action in her stories. Interesting plots/adventures make for a read that keeps you hooked.I LIKE the main character. She’s not “too stupid to live” or whatever else the other reviewer was implying. She’s snarky, okay. And prickly, but she’s been in war and she’s reacting “normally” to vampires who’ve burned her at many turns. I like this take– it’s not a “okay, let’s except everything”. She fights it, but finds that maybe vamps aren’t the enemy afterall.
