Dashing and Daddy by Gianni Holmes is an angst filled hurt/comfort Daddy/Boy story about two men with a past history who find each other again after several years. Mason is 48 and has been homeless and drifting for several years. He was once married but because he couldn’t keep a job and was so dependent on his wife to keep him going that she finally gave up. He hits bottom and finds himself at her house, sleeping on her couch, when she offers him a chance to stay at her cabin for a while. He takes her up on it but barely has enough money for gas to get there, heat, and food. He finds himself offered a job at a convenience store nearby if he does “something” for the boss. Dillon is his ex-stepson who never bothered to get to know him and has great disdain for him. However, he goes to the other family owned cabin and sees Mason at the convenience store where he is working. This gets him to start thinking that maybe his opinion of him was wrong and after another meeting where Mason is turned away from a restaurant he gets him to move into his cabin with him.
