I thoroughly enjoyed this insta-love story of Kane and Caroline. Kane’s an extremely sensitive Sensor. Sensors can get emotional imprints from those around him. Due to Kane being raised in a human family, he was never taught how to turn the frequency down on the emotions/feelings he receives. He’s avoided human touch for years, and constantly wears gloves to be safe from being overwhelmed by the emotions/feelings even from just a single touch. Kane is a loner. Caroline is a defective Sensor, meaning she can receive emotion/feelings from others, but can’t return them. She’s all alone in the world as her father went missing years ago. She has her work friends but that’s about it.
