Black Rose written by Karina Halle which was published in March 19, 2023. You can read this before Black Rose PDF EPUB full Download at the bottom. “They say that grief is a thief of time because the pain of loss not only steals so much from the heart but so much from life. This book picks up right after book one, Blood Orange, and I will say that in the very first chapter I was shocked to read who Rose’s parents are. So, with that, I do recommend reading Black Sunshine, The Blood is Love and Nightwolf. It is required? No, but it will give you that “Ah ha” moment. Valtu/Dracula is known to be a (insert other word for donkey) and we saw that in Blood Orange but boy oh boy do we see it in this book two. Not only that but also his cowardice. It really shined. I understand why he did what he had to do but for what happened later on in the book? Nope. I was not down for that….even though if it didn’t happen then what happened after that would probably never have happened and it needed to happen for Valtu and Rose to have the future that was meant for them.

Brief Summary of Black Rose

Valtu’s life is in shambles. A man can only handle losing the love of his life so many times before he’s completely wrecked. Swearing off love and giving up on his past should’ve been enough. But then Rose Harper inserts herself into his life, and neither one will ever be the same. As much as I loved Dahlia and Valtu in the first book, I couldn’t turn the page fast enough when it came to Valtu and Rose. Both Val and Rose were these beautifully suffering souls who went through a lot of healing in order to find their happily ever after, but the journey Halle put them on was well worth it. This conclusion to the Dracula Duet was satisfying in so many ways. Not only do our main characters get their love story, but readers also get plenty of steam, plenty of thrills, and plenty of action along the way. Valtu was definitely darker throughout most of this story, but his behavior only added to the thrill of it all. The Dracula Duet is a must-read for any dark PNR fans looking for a ultra-steamy read, and Black Rose is the perfect conclusion to Valtu’s story.
