Marshall Ryan Maresca knocks it out of the park with this fish-out-of-water story set in his Maradaine universe! Corrie Welling, previoisly a supporting character,comes or the fore in this stand-alone title. Abducted, shipped across the world and stranded in a foreign city where she doesn’t speak a word of the language, she arrives to make her way and get back home.The worldbuilding is super particularly as is let’s us see a part of the setting that’s only been hinted at before. The Characterization is great, particularly as Corrie (read: blue-collar English with a mouth like a sailor) is stuck in a VERY foreign land with very different societal norms. The whole thing is absolutely engrossing!
