I don’t recognize her at first because the smokin’ hot woman with a librarian vibe is nothing like the Jane I remember. She’s one of my little sister’s friends, and I barely noticed her back in high school. Now, it’s nigh impossible to ignore her. Sparks fly between us every time we’re near each other. When we get snowed in and Jane asks me a favor—a big favor—I don’t know if I can say no.
She says we just have the week. That we can’t tell anyone. That we’ll forget each other after it’s over. She’s wrong about everything.

This time it’s her friend Jane that just relocated to Boston and the last single Tate brother, Ian. I felt like I didn’t know all that much about Ian but the way that Jane described the high school version of him, he was the popular guy that was nice and fun but also could kind of glaze over everyone without making a connection- especially after all the drama that went down with his father. Jane was the quintessential nerd that spent way too much time focusing on school and her career rather than relationships thus leaving her a 30 year old virgin. Jane and Ian were pretty fun to read. Their flirty yet teasing banter with each other brought smiles to my face and I am a sucker for a storyline where the guy is the first to fall. Sure Jane had a surface level crush on Ian in high school- but her mindset when it came to Ian was also kind of stuck there too. She was so focused on who he was then and how they weren’t in the same league that she was kind of missing what a fantastic guy he was now and that he clearly and vocally wanted her.
