This book came up as a suggestion from Amazon when I was looking for a new entry in the Julie McElwaiyn Kendra Donovan time travel series. I love that series so much I never thought a similar one could top it but this one did. I was riveted by the time travel story of our viewpoint character, Canadian policewoman Mallory Peterson, from the very first page. And when Mallory reveals her truth to the delightful Isla character I raced through the rest of the book in one sitting. If you like time travel, Victorian mysteries or both this book is for you. Here’s hoping the author puts out at least one of these per year because she has created absolutely stellar characters and premise.
