Ok.. i want to start off by saying, I picked up this book because when it first came out I knew I wasn’t emotionally prepared for the feels Corinne Michael’s likes to dole out in her books.. but I was kinda craving angst. But here’s the thing, Delia, like the two previous heroines in this series fell flat. And Josh took a minute or like forty percent of the book to like. And then the shoe drops because of course this is a Corinne Michaels book, but idk, I felt like it was too much?? I can read dark romance but this book, well the ‘twist’ was just cruel. What these characters went through was cruel and unnecessary. And I understand angst, and trails and tribulations to make a good story but at one point you have to ask yourself why do they have to be put through the ringer multiple times in one book? I get people go through these types of things, but flesh it out?? Show them putting in the work?? Idk it’s the second book in this series I enjoyed reading but didn’t like what was going on, if that makes sense.
