A Little Taste is a fantastic grumpy dad romance. Aiden is a single dad, town sheriff and doesn’t like magic. He is fantastic with his son and is trying to do better for his small town. Britt is a forensic photographer back to help solve who is behind the increase crime in her old hometown. She is a little ball of fire that you will just love. There is this fabulous chemistry between Britt and Aiden that you will just love. Britt may come from a line of psychics and a bit of magic but she does not let it define her. I just love how she is with Aiden’s son and how she holds her own when faced by the truth of what really happened to her father. I could not get enough of this one. I could not put this one down. This is one small town grumpy dad read you will not want to miss.

Brief Summary of the Book

Aiden Stone is a six foot two former Marine with a permanent scowl, dark hair, and dreamy blue eyes. He’s the oldest of the Stone brothers, and his “by the book” family has battled mine for control of our small town for generations. The last thing I should do is sleep with him. Or nearly run him down with my truck. Especially since he’s sort-of my new boss. It doesn’t help that my grandmother (the mayor) is a former magician, and my mom is a psychic (sort-of)…And my dad died in a failed escape-artist attempt (that my mother is convinced was a murder). Trust me, I know crazy, but I’m just plain old Britt Bailey, Shania Twain-loving, non-magical forensic photographer. Yes I take pictures of dead things, but I don’t see them in my bedroom at night. I only want to see on thing in my bedroom at night, and when I’m called home to help Sheriff Stone on the investigation, he actually stops frowning for a minute, and my teenage fantasies get very real. It’s a terrible idea. We work together, he’s seven years older than me, he’s a single dad, he hates all things magic, but a little taste we can’t say no. Until the town crime wave turns personal, putting everything on the line and we’ll need more than a magic bullet to get our happily ever after. This is a small town romance. Britt has had a thing for Aiden since she was a little girl growing up. He was the hottest guy in school and she never ever thought she had a chance of getting noticed. However time goes by you leave town and follow your dreams and once you have left and lived some life you swear you would never ever go back. But then you do when you are summoned. He is a former marine and the sheriff and she is a forensic photographer and he needs her to help him in an investigation. He now is a single dad and one of the hottest men in town still and she still feels what she felt when they were young. But things in town are about to turn personal in the crime wave and everything is now on the line. Will they be able to survive this and come out with a happily ever after? You have to read to find that out. I liked this book and really enjoyed reading this small town romance. I closed the book with a smile on my face.
