Kelsey came out swinging and amped up all those angsty roller coaster feels us readers love to chase… This pulled me in straight away, and I was hooked. The high of their feelings outshone the untouchable sister of his long time best friend. Hidden like a dirty little secret, always worried they’d get caught… These two were perfection, even though it ended on a cliffy I loved how it did because he made his choice, and it was the right choice.. Laiken has had a full blown crush on Hayes for as far back as she can remember and has kept it under wraps until she confides in her friends and he overhears the whole conversation making him see her in another light. As far as Cam, Laiken’s brother knows, no one is good enough for his little sister Laiken and that extends to his mates too, he’s slammed the gavel down and declared her untouchable. BUT when Hayes Wilder plants one kiss on her to defend her, game over, these two can’t fight their attraction.

Brief Summary of A Dose of Pretty Poison

A Dose of Pretty Poison is definitely exciting as well as sexy, angsty, drama filled and forbidden plus it is full of humorous & witty banter, plus lots of fun side characters and more. I really enjoyed reading this, I laughed (a lot), I hurt for the hero and heroine and the sexiness didn’t hurt the story one bit. Hayes (H) and Laiken (h) have been friends for a long time having grown up together in a small town and Hayes is Laiken’s brother Cam’s best friend. As they have grown Laiken has crushed on Hayes but felt he didn’t feel the same as he never showed any signs of being interested until he overhears Laiken confessing her feelings to her best friend Mali and Hayes’ sister Devin. This begins a time filled with angst, hurt, confusion and drama between the two but once Hayes gives into his feelings these two find themselves falling hard for one another but both holding back for different reasons. Hayes and Laiken have terrific chemistry together and although they are both still young you can just tell they are meant to be. However, they have forces working against them plus hiding a relationship isn’t easy and these two find themselves nursing broken hearts. This story does end in a cliffhanger and I’m curious to find out how Cam will feel about his sister and best friend dating, I look forward to reading the final two books in this trio. This new adult romance is a great read with a storyline that flows wonderfully is entertaining and has you rooting for Hayes and Laiken and hopefully leading to another siblings best friend romance with Cam and Mali.
