Autumn just moved back to her small home town Ashfield, after her adventure in New York came to a bad ending. Now Autumn is reconnecting with her family, and trying to find her way again. Not sure what she is supposed to do with her life next, she takes it slow. And when she sees the house she always thought of as her dreamhouse is up for auction, she figures it is time to take a chance on it. What Autumn didn’t expect is being forced to work with the handsome ex-prof hockey player Colton. Colton is just retiring from hockey, and is trying to think what to do with his life next. And when he meets Autumn, he still isn’t sure, but he definitely knows for certain he wants to spend more time with her. Although there is an age difference, the two have insane chemistry which can not be denied. ‘Time For You’ definitely was a very charming read that kept me interested right from the start. The small town of Ashfield, was very charming and I loved everything about that small town. The gossip, the shops and definitely Autumn’s family that has lived in Ashfield for a very long time. Although I mostly loved ‘Time For You’ I also had some small issues. Nothing that kept me from wanting to finish, but still. Mostly I felt like this book had everything I could have wanted in a romance novel, but it was a bit rough around the edges. Things for one moved really fast between the two main characters, there is supposedly a big age gap between the characters but it’s hardly ever mentioned, and in the end I just felt like the ending was a bit rushed. Which was a bit funny since in the first few chapters I felt like the book was very descriptive and a bit slow. But the romance between Autumn and Colton was definitely fun to read. There where some very sexy moments between them. And I rooted for the characters from the moment I started reading this book. I also feel very curious about Autumns siblings, so I would love to read their stories. And have you seen that cover? Gorgeous.

Brief Summary of the Book

Autumn didn’t plan to return to her small town. But that’s exactly where she has found herself while she figures out her next step. Returning to her parents has brought back old dreams. Her biggest dream is to find a way to own the original farmhouse her great-great-grandfather’s son lost in a poker game. Colton is a retired hockey player looking for a way to escape the paparazzi. He’s in town to visit his old mentor and hide out. When sees an old abandoned farmhouse he’s reminded of an old foster home with good memories. When the farmhouse goes up for auction he outbids Autumn. When he shares his desire to restore the dreamhouse, his new neighbor, Autumn’s dad makes a suggestion and manipulates Autumn into helping. Autumn and Colton’s relationship builds, despite their insta-attraction. Colton owned the one thing Autumn wanted and we see her resisting any kind of relationship at first. The mixture of insta-attraction with a slow burn was perfect. We see a genuine friendship and relationship built on trust develop first. The progression of the story felt natural.
