They’re both complex characters dealing with trauma in very different ways. One is outgoing and attention-seeking, while the other is introverted with social anxiety. It was interesting to see how they processed their trauma and grew as individuals. I loved watching their relationship change from two people stuck in the same friend group who hate each other to… something else.I did not want to put this book down and devoured it in just under a week. A book this size usually takes me three or more weeks since I don’t have a lot of downtime where I can sit for hours and enjoy a book undisturbed. I adored the inclusivity and diversity. I found the lack of queerphobia refreshing, as in my opinion, this is how we should be. Amanda Woody created a world where queer people can feel safe and welcome. I also want to add that Lily stole my heart, the best side character in the book!
