I wasn’t crazy about THE MAZE. The first 12-15 chapters was little more than back story. After that it was mostly dialog filling up pages. Yes, the story built to an exciting climax – that I could see coming half the book away. You included far more sex and alcohol in this book than you normally rely on. The plot was too obvious, and John Corey was a little too confident and amazing for a detective of his age, experience, and physical condition.
