When it come to women’s health issues, men know best. Legislation effecting what a woman can and cannot do with their own bodies features the input of a lot of men, but not much from women. Government deciding what should and should not be taxed, also decided mostly by men. Insurance companies explaining what will be covered, what is elective, and what is not necessary, decided by shareholders looking to save a buck. Even those fighting over what makes a woman seems to be a macho battlefield, with few women adding to it. Opting for a woman doctor, was once more luck than being able to shop around in those insurance companies allows one to see. And women doctors still face discrimination from men. In a way as we progress thorough this century we seem to be sliding backwards. A recent woman running for president was thought to be to high-strung, maybe would fall to hysterics if things became to tough. The choice of a lying man baby says much about this country, and its view of women. Hysteria was once a catchall statement, covering everything from depression, to not listening to men, to getting in the way of men wanting to take another wife.
