The quality of the writing is very uneven not only between events but in her descriptions. It’s as if she had an adjective dictionary sitting by her and tried to use an many words as possible. When you compare the writing styles Sally Thorne (also a new writer) and Kristin Hannah with this author you see quality in the use of language and then the high school level writing of Naomi Krupitsky. The story idea is good and one I have not seen before.
The description of the fathers in the Family or within their their family should have been explored in greater detail since they are critical characters in the story. The story moves quite slowly in some parts.
