Brief Summary The Contract Box Set by Melanie Moreland

The Contract is an enemies to lovers, boss/assistant, marriage of convenience story between Richard and Katy. Richard is an executive at a marketing firm, but looking to take his talents elsewhere. The firm he is scouting is looking for a family man with morals (which Richard has neither of when the story starts). Enter his grand idea to strike up a contract with his assistant, Katy. He has never been the nicest to Katy, and has no clue what she has going on, but she needs the money and he needs a wife. Katy moves in with Richard, and their journey from enemies to a true married couple is so beautiful to watch.

This was my first Melanie Moreland book and certainly wasn’t my last! My favorite part about this was the found family aspect. Richard has a sad past and truly never had anyone in his corner until Katy. Once Richard realizes that Katy only wants what’s best for him, and vice versa, their walls begin to crumble and a true bond forms. Richard’s character arc was well-earned and he became a man deserving of Katy by the end of the story.
