What this author brings to her books are well developed varied characters , each book has a different feel. I found myself waiting for more softer romantic times, but not when you have an undercover, secret agent that has spent years surviving and taking out bad people, he is one closed off man. Delaney has forgotten what it’s like to have love/trust/friendships in his life. When he meets Tag, he has no idea what is about to change. Tag has a whole ton of sadness in his life, but his determination to survive in a world full of heartache is admirable. He is so desperate to be loved and wanted that your heart will melt for him, but that does not mean he isn’t stupid too. At his lowest he accepts a most unusual invitation, did I say he was stupid? This whole story is a high stakes cat and mouse game, the good, the bad, the evil and the sickest men and their games make this book a fast paced suspense that will keep you needing more. There is a world where men with too much power and money believe they are entitled and able to do anything their sick minds want, thank god for men like Delaney. As the story develops we learn about Delany’s many secret safe houses and cars, a life always on the run, trying to survive, to stay alive one more day. A life where he is always in control, all of that grinds to a halt when he ends up wanting to protect a sweet young man that was caught up in a sick web.
