Okay, mini rant over (maybe). Long story short I went into this book expecting something ridiculous and fun (which, lbr, it does have its ~moments~) and was instead met with a whole universe where there are old gods based off the seasons? That are done well? And I–I just would love for this to be a prequel and for the next book (since this is “Book 1”) to be more about our main character and a full on actual book/series if the author is so able to bless us with it. I need to know more about the other gods, what happens to the FMC, if Jack ever comes back, how things change, just more in general.If you enjoyed the show version of American Gods you will definitely like the energy and vibe this book carries. It’s super short. Stop wasting your time and read it. Then join my mental angst over wanting more story.
