O’Malley is a consummate storyteller. I hesitated writing this because I wasn’t sure how I could put into words the joy her books bring me. When a new title is released, I purposely put off reading it because I know it will end. Song of the Fae is my hurricane Ian book—I had to force myself to put it down & work from home, but don’t tell anyone I stopped working early just so I could read. This new series, that brings back characters from previous series, immediately draws you in, and makes you fall for the characters, the story, the magick, and the Irish charm. I felt despair, joy, and even got a bit frustrated with Imogen, but once I put myself in her shoes, so to speak, I understood her pain. Nolan is a hunk of stubborn Fae man, and could possibly have been fleshed out a bit more, but the love story fits.
