Shiver written by Crea Reitan which was published in 25 May 2023. You can read this before Shiver PDF EPUB full Download at the bottom. I love jock/nerd stories despite them often following similar paths. However, this had a completely different vibe from the start. Is Rakesh an actual nerd? He is a genius and likes to study but other than that he is no where near nerdy. He is an enigma; doesn’t give his feelings and personal life away but gives so much of himself in every other way. Egon was failing his studies and having Rake as a tutor was certainly life changing. As this story is written in dual POV, we know all about Rake’s mind games but not even he is as immune to his feelings as he thought. This book will take you soaring high, as Rake completely and utterly brings pleasure to Egon. It is hard, loud and absolutely unforgiving; very hot and steamy. Egon has a huge praise kink, despite not actually knowing and Rakesh absolutely adores praising him; he is absolutely dominant and in control: maybe too in control. Everything is full on and intense until suddenly it isn’t and as a reader I completely broke alongside Egon. His pain and utter grief is absolutely heartbreaking and the raw emotion that comes from the page is heartfelt. We are put back together as Rake sorts through his own feelings and the stitches are completely invisible by the end. The story was fabulous and my heart is repaired, I am completely in love with their relationship and devotion to each other. A 5 star book that will linger in your thoughts

Brief Summary of the Book

Crea creates a world that sucks you in and leaves you bouncing between wolf whistles and cat calls and all the feels! The story of Rakesh and Egon is beautifully written with complex characters and plot twists, but also with sensitivity and care for the characters. You can see them change and grow and learn to love beyond the selfish feelings. I really loved reading this story and highly recommend it. Please make sure you read the trigger warnings as this book does deal with some really dark themes.
