Brief Summary Savage Heart by Nessa Graye

I had a couple of issues that made it more four instead of a five star read. First, it was hard to get over the fact that the FMC was a high school senior (granted she was close to 19, which was better than the other way around) and there was a couple plot holes that weren’t addressed by the end of the book (maybe in a future, interconnected book?) However, it was a very fast read and had a lot of great, angsty scenes that made it fun to zip through. Dimitry is sent to interrogate and dispose of Kelly’s father, a crooked detective who is investigating his bratva. Her dad offers Kelly up in exchange for his life and Dimitry accepts, taking her as a prisoner. Kelly initial is resistant and scared, but worms her way into Dimitry’s heart and he treats her like a queen. The story has a lot of twists and definitely doesn’t follow a linear line, like most of these mafia stories go.
