Remy was hilarious and I found several qualities in her that I can relate to. But I loved her determination, persistency, energy, and resilience. After getting arrested in Rome for a crime she “helped” commit, I would’ve lost all hope. But the smoking hot detective, Lorenzo, and his kitty companion, Mnemosine, brought her into the elusive case and their lives. And don’t get me started on Lorenzo. Perfect book boyfriend and that’s really all I need to say. *winking at you to read the book to find out why* As a history lover and an art fanatic, I soaked up the entire mystery and Italian lore that we learned, as Remy and Lorenzo put the pieces together. And I loved the growth that Remy, Lorenzo, Eric, Cassie and Valeria went through, and I was hooked into the romance and side characters lives like they were my own.
