A very good compilation of articles demonstrating the depth and breadth of the spying that the US government is donig on its citizens. It also illustrates how easily the people involved can obfuscate and/or lie directly to the public, the media, and the courts. All without any retribution. It is obvious that the beliefs and truths I was taught in school during the 50s and 60s about our country are no longer operable. The real truth is more akin to Orwell’s 1984. What is sadder is that it will only get worse as technology advances. As the “inside” information eventually evolves down to more local officials it will be increasingly difficult for Americans to live their lifes privately. Everyone should read this and think about how anything they may do or say could be used against them by a government authority that alone may begin to decide what is good and what is bad.
