Although I don’t normally read the more contemporary romances (I prefer historical romances) overall I enjoyed this book. I appreciated the lack of intimate details where there was “bedroom scenes” as I did not have to gloss over pages of what I consider unnecessary information.

Usually a Regency Romance writer, GL Robinson has written a story about the unexpected happiness that can come upon the deserving people in life, those who are good people and help others even when there is no payoff other than being kind. The setting is a bookstore, where most of us would love to spend time. The heroine, lives alone and has a few friends. Her life is the bookstore, and the people who spend time there. She’s barely getting by and accepts this as her lot in life, until some unexpected events happen. This is a fast and enjoyable read.
