It was a little too early to go to bed so I started reading planning to just get an idea of what was happening. The next thing I knew it was after 2 am and I had read half the book. It was really hard to put down but I had to. I finished it as soon as I got up and loved every minute.It is New Years and Vi and Jack are having a New Years Eve rollerskating/champagne party in their ballroom. Ginny, their adopted daughter, is returning from a school trip to Europe and they are to meet her at the station. They have promised to see the teacher and other students safely home. But when Vi and her friends arrive they find one of the girls is being especially cruel to Ginny. The teacher seems oblivious to what is going on so Vi steps in. Out of obligation they arrange for the teacher and students to be taken home and try to make Ginny feel better as they proceed with their shopping trip.As usual Vi’s evil stepmother manages to invite herself to the party and brings some friends she is hoping to impress, including the obnoxious classmate and her wealthy father. Ginny has invited three other classmates, all who have been victims of the cruel girl. Guess who ends up murdered? And who is the prime suspect?
