It was heartbreaking to see how this person’s parents treated them, after they were brave enough to come out to their parents, over a Xmas holiday! For them then to have to deal with being evicted (without shoes, money, or phone & just the clothes they were wearing) from the only home they’d ever known, by people who supposedly ‘loved’ them? Horrific!
(I’m stopping to address another reviewer’s apparently not understanding how devastating this scenario is, that reviewer wondering why Ben didn’t try to ‘fix’ things between them all, then go back to living with the parents? Are you effing kidding? Why would Ben subject themselves to more abuse? Because that’s exactly what Ben’s parents did, physically & emotionally & mentally (neglect: throwing their child out into freezing weather, with no shoes, & no resources)!
