Brief Summary Dino Stud by Lola Faust

“Dino Stud” is a romance book by Lola Faust. I know it’s binned under Science Fiction, but while there’s discussions about DNA, I’m on the fence about that binning (I guess it’s a better fit than Fantasy, but …). As for it being under “erotica” – um, does once explicit scene erotica make – I don’t know. Anyway, I’ve seen covers of this author’s books before and my hat’s off to her for finding a niche – Dinosaur Romance/Erotica writing. I mean, I’d’ve never thought to write in that genre but she did and with six books under her belt – more power to her. The positives of this book – it’s short, it reads like wonderfully ‘bad’ fanfic, the fantastic throwback cover (swoon!), and in its over the topness it’s hysterically funny (at one point I had to stop the treadmill to laugh at the gym because I would’ve seriously hurt myself on the machine). The meh – other than instalove (but in a short book do you really have time for slowness?) I couldn’t tell you why other than animal magnatism that our heroine fell in love/lust with the hero. Also “hey, I did a Google search and got lucky with a direction, can I work the summer at your ranch” – yep, happens all the time. The bad – if you go in thinking this is going to be a serious literary book, do yourself a favor and pick another book.
