Second book in the Augustine Brothers series. Natasha had left us on a cliffhanger….just as we come to expect in her duets.This final book for Madelena and Santos is a turbulent one, this is a defiantly a trust no one read! Major secrets and lies are uncovered nothing good can come from them, all will lead to pain and destruction. Santos’ despair is palpable throughout, he’s so torn, not knowing what to believe and who to trust. Whilst I enjoyed this read as for Maddy and Santos story goes, I am left feeling that I have more questions about certain characters that’s didn’t seem to get answered, mainly Thiago. This is the end to this duet, I’m not sure if Natasha intends to write more linked to this series. I do hope so because if not I feel this has left too many unanswered questions. I am definitely left wanting more stories from these families!

Brief Summary of the Book

What an action packed suspense filled conclusion to Santos and Madelena’s story. Jeez I was on the edge of my seat throughout the book. It was a pins and needles type read. Their ending was stunning and left me breathless. It was a guessing game for me of who the culprit could be. I’ll admit right now I was wrong! I like how Madelena finds her strength and grows in DMFE. Also Santos learns to share a bit more here. They grew as a couple too. But that needn’t necessarily prevent the twist crap going on. The warped mind(s) that was looking to do them harm was pure evil and ugly. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see what would happen next and why. I loved the duet and the characters. But I hope Ms. Knight surprises her readers with more books of other characters we’ve gotten know know about here.
