Whilst the books have some really good points, they are only really for those in industries where they have a manageable numbers of customers and who have the ability to have relationships with them and spend time to do that. In my business, like a lot of others, we rely on selling through social media which is barely covered in either, and where I have hundreds of clients, the majority of the ideas just aren’t feasible. Furthermore, A lot of the chapters weren’t relevant to me such as writing proposals however it was really good to have sections that looked at me as the seller and how the way I do and approach things might affect how I come across in marketing.
