Brief Summary Black Dog by Stuart Woods

There is something off about the main nemesis in this tale, and while i appreciate the banter between Stone and Dino, and the other familiar characters, the depiction of the “villain” leaves me wondering what in his life brought him to the conclusive moment. I would have wished for a more defining character background, to understand the source of his actions, though the motive behind those actions seems clear enough. We are told that the main protagonist is highly intelligent, but the plot shows little evidence of such brilliance. The ending also is abrupt, as if the author decided enough was enough. A good read over all, but leaving this reader wishing for just a few more pages to wrap one’s head around all the questions the narrative raises. I am curious to see what other reviewers make of this story.
