The story just did not seem to click right. Ivy had run away from her Irish Mob family in Vegas and wanted to be a doctor on the East Coast. She was unable to attend medical school and instead became a nurse assistant. Her bestie Scarlett wanted to go to Vegas for her bachelorette party. Ivy had kept her past a secret and did not want to ruin the party. They end up in the Italian Mob’s casino owned by Roman. Ivy cheats at cards and Roman takes her upstairs for her punishment. The sex scene felt forced and uncomfortable. Ivy’s cousin recognized her while he was at the casino to complete a deal between the Irish and Italian Mobs. Overall I was a little disappointed in this one. It could have been really good if not condensed into such a short story.

Brief Summary of the Book

Against my better judgment, not only do I return to Sin City; I take it a step further by going to a casino owned by Roman Battista, the Don of the Italian Mafia. I don’t expect to run into him, but when we meet he takes my breath away. Big, burly, and so powerful; our attraction is instantaneous. I want nothing more than to submit to his darkest desires and give him my v-card. But, although Roman doesn’t know it, our relationship could end the tenuous peace between the crime syndicates.
